Teen Driving

teen driving

Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for 15- to 20- year olds. AAA clubs across the country have led a campaign to change the way teens are licensed in this country. Today, every state has some form of graduated driver licensing law (GDL) — a system that phases in privileges for new drivers incrementally and restricts their driving in high-risk situations, like at night and with other teen passengers. AAA clubs across the country are committed to improving those laws to make them as effective as possible. Raising awareness of teen driver safety and the steps that parents, educators and even teens themselves can take to solve this crisis is a priority we all share.
